OmniPay temporarily suspends exchange to transition to OmniPay Africa

Update: June 21, 2007 OmniPay Africa had planned to become operational, conducting both in and outexchanges by June 18th. It now appears this service will be delayed several weeks. Establishment of OmniPay Africa has been on-going, designed to facilitate a remote and sophisticated payment capability to the majority of mankind underserved or excluded from traditional banking and constituting it properly is imperative. The complexities of making OmniPay Africa fully operational in an accelerated manner have been greater than originally anticipated causing this delay. We assure you we are working diligently to bring OmniPay Africa online.

Notice May 24, 2007: Effective immediately, G&SR will be leasing the OmniPay business to OmniPay Africa. All OmniPay exchanges will now involve e-gold transfers and money payments into/out of OmniPay Africa's e-gold and bank accounts respectively. G&SR has contracted to serve as the Operator of OmniPay but will not be a party to actual exchanges.

In terms of immediate impacts:

The OmniPay exchange service will suspend operation pending provisioning of a suitable bank account for OmniPay Africa. It is anticipated this service interruption will start May 24, 2007 with service resuming on or about June 18, 2007.
With resumption, all bank wires from customers must be directed to
the new bank coordinates which will be posted on the omnipay.com website.

The original plan was for OmniPay Africa to organize as a licensee of G&SR, the US company that owns OmniPay. A substantial development effort was underway to support the additional requirements for over-the-counter exchange operations such as biometric validation. However, recent actions of the US government, originating from a long-standing and misguided animus on the part of the US Secret Service, necessitate immediate action. Specifically, SEB Bank in Estonia has notified G&SR it is closing its bank account at close of business May 25, 2007 explicitly because of the Press Release from the US DOJ.

We regret the temporary interruption of OmniPay services. Just as the US government's recent actions in seizing e-gold accounts of e-gold Ltd., G&SR, The Bullion Exchange, AnyGoldNow, IceGold, GitGold, The Denver Gold Exchange, GoldPouch Express and 1MDC (and forcing G&SR to liquidate the seized assets!) have severely damaged not only these exchange businesses but also their innumerable customers, their forcing this complex transition to be performed on an emergency basis is simply shameful.

We do not however regret the transfer of OmniPay responsibilities to OmniPay Africa. As will become abundantly clear in coming months, the OmniPay Africa team is highly qualified to guide OmniPay to a higher level, a genuinely global service that will foster a beneficial surge in e-gold's emergence while bringing significant advantages to emerging economies.

Strategic Background

A major strategic emphasis for e-gold is to provide sophisticated remote payments capabilities to the majority of mankind underserved by or excluded by the banking system. An important focus is international remittances - payments from migrant workers living in advanced economies sending a portion of their earnings to their home country. For many developing economies, migrant remittances constitute a significant portion of foreign exchange income and even GDP. Traditional remittance mechanisms, however, are expensive and inflexible. It is estimated that lowering the net cost of remittances by a few percentage points could measurably enhance economic development. There is also increasing awareness that non-traditional banking such as micro-credit facilities can also aid in bootstrapping lesser developed economies.

OmniPay Africa, an entirely non-US company, majority owned by prominent business leaders from the Francophone countries of West Africa, was therefore organized to extend the usefulness of e-gold by providing support for over-the-counter exchange and by fostering the integration of e-gold into micro-credit lending institutions. The combination of e-gold (settling the international transfer of value with no need for a financial intermediary) and OmniPay (offering standardized, reliable, low cost exchange to/from local currency) will serve as a flexible low cost alternative to the traditional systems.

How Stretch Marks Occur

Martha Fitzharris

Stretch marks can affect all of us. Many people assume the cause
of stretch marks (also known as striae) is due to pregnancy and
so only pregnant women and mothers are affected. This simply
isn't true.

Body builders and people who gain a great deal of weight are
susceptible to stretch marks. Also, teens are often afflicted
with striae during the "growth spurts" of puberty. In short,
anytime skin that is dramatically stretched quickly, striae is
apt to appear.

Not only can stretch marks affect adults and teens, but they can
affect children and people of every race and ethnicity, as well.
What are stretch marks, and why do they occur?

The skin is a remarkable organ. It's the largest and one of the
most complex organs in the entire body. It protects our internal
organs, keeps dangerous microorganisms at bay, helps us
eliminate wastes, and processes external elements, such as
sunshine, for our benefit. One of the skin's most remarkable
abilities is its ability to stretch.

Elastin and collagen are two of the building blocks of skin.
They are both proteins in the form of elastic fibers. Collagen
is a binding agent in skin and it is the building block of the
connective tissue. Elastin provides the skin with, you guessed
it, its elasticity.

The skin is extremely elastic; however, at certain times, skin
is over-stressed and stretched beyond its ability to give. When
this happens, the skin actually tears. Then, these tiny tears
and little rips heal, resulting in scar tissue and show up on
the outer part of the skin as stretch marks.

How Stretch Marks Can Be Prevented or Repaired Cocoa butter is a
popular home remedy for stretch marks. Traditionally, pregnant
women have used cocoa butter on thier bellies to prevent stretch
marks . Certainly its moisturizing capacity helps to improve the
skin's elasticity; however, it's effectiveness in preventing
stretch marks is rather limited.

People who desire to prevent stretch marks should look for a
product that helps the body create the very elements that are
being oppressed: collagen and elastin. Pregnant women, body
builders, or growing teenagers can prevent skin tearing by
stimulating their body to trigger and speed the regeneration of
collagen, elastin and the water holding proteins that help
prevent tearing and subsequent scarring.

Fortunately, such stimulation can be achieved with topical
products (those you place directly on the skin) that contain
molecules that act as biological activators of skin renewal, the
same ingredients also aid in the repair of stretch marks.
Biological activators are (1) enzymes that catalyze, or speed up
biochemical reactions within skin cells by a factor of many
thousands, (2) proteins which enable cells to communicate and
effectively coordinate activities between one another, also
known as growth factors, (3) glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) - complex
carbohydrate chains that are not only vital moisturizers and
lubricants present in the interstitial spaces between surface
skin cells, but by virtue of their interaction with growth
factor proteins and their receptors act as regulators of
vascularization (new capillary blood vessel formation) and cell
division. Also. they are fundamental biological players in the
cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions that take place during
normal and pathological events related to cell recognition,
adhesion, migration and growth.

These molecules that are present in skin care products that are
not merely clever concoctions of natural ingredients, but have a
proven record of effectiveness. One such product is a cream made
from the mucins of land snails, the same mucins that these
little creatures use to repair their own skin and shell when
damaged. The biological activators in it promote cell
regeneration, which improves scars' appearance. They also
thicken the epidermal layer, creating a smoother top layer of
skin. This further improves the look of stretch marks, whether
they are recent or old. With the use of BIO SKIN CARE™ Cream
damaged cells and toxins are dissolved, hair follicles are
cleaned of debris, germs are destroyed and new collagen,
elasting and water holding cells are formed. The Final Result:
YOUR SKIN CLEAR OF STRETCH MARKS.

How mental attitude and digestion affect acne

rudy silva

Mental attitude

Acne is an expression of toxins in the body that are not being released through normal channels of elimination, so they come out through the skin. Since mental attitude and thoughts cannot be separate from the body, thoughts and feelings are also being expressed as acne.

Negative thoughts and feelings produce chemicals that are toxic acids. Just like toxic acids created in the colon, the toxic thoughts need to be eliminated through the 5 elimination channels

Acne can be an expression suppressed past traumatic experiences. As a child, when you were exposed to experiences that overwhelm you – constant mental, physical, or sexually abuse, you suppress them. So now as an adult, as your defense system weakens, you're not able to completely suppress this information, so it becomes expressed as acne or other skin disorders. Of course, these suppressed experiences can be expressed as other diseases.

Acne can also be related to the emotion of fear or anxiety. It can also be an expression of holding onto old junkie or unpleasant memories. It's a way of holding on to and burying the junkie or toxic memory into your face. It is these memories that are trying to surface and, in an usual way, asking you to face them. Many times, you and other people may not want to remember them or deal with them.

To deal with them requires a lot of strength and help from a psychotherapist.

Stomach Acid

Your stomach uses Hydrochloric acid (HCl) to break down protein. It also has many other functions,

* Kills pathogens and microbes and prevents them from getting into the colon and blood

* Controls the adsorption of B12

* Controls the adsorption of iron calcium zinc, copper, magnesium and most B-complex vitamins

* Controls the adsorption of vitamin C

* Created indigestion

* Prevents constipation

When you have low levels of HCl chances are that you will be susceptible to getting acne. HCl can be increased by using a digestive enzyme that contains HCl.

Pancreatic Digestive Enzymes

When the food you eat passes the stomach and enters the small intestine, the pancreas releases digestive enzymes and bicarbonate to help complete the digestive process.

The bicarbonate helps to reduce the acid strength in the food coming from the stomach. The digestive enzymes digest carbohydrates, fats, and protein.

When the pancreas loses its efficiency and starts to release less digestive enzymes, less food is properly digested. This results in more undigested food reaching the colon. When this happens, the undigested food, if it stays to long in the colon, becomes a source for rotting matter and toxic material. This toxic material can get into your blood and cause skin disruption such as acne.

A healthy pancreas, which provides the necessary digestive juices to digest the food you eat, is needed for healthy skin and for eliminating acne and other skin sores and eruptions.

When you have acne or other skin diseases, they are created when there is an in-balance in your body and that includes many different organs and body processes and systems – your thoughts, digestion, liver, kidney, lymphatic system, lungs, and pancreas.

A Natural Remedy for Gingivitis, Toothaches, and Mouth Sores

rudy silva

veryone has a variety of bacteria in their mouth. Some have more than others. This bacterium helps you by beginning the digestive process.

Excess bacteria in your mouth have now been found to cause more than tooth decay, gingivitis or gum disease. So, you need to know, even though you might not have gingivitis, how to control these plaque-building bacteria in your mouth.

Bacteria that create gingivitis live in your plaque and cause your gums to inflame, bleed, and separate from your teeth. You can also have bad breath when you have gingivitis. In more severe cases, your gums become sore, teeth hurt, gums recede, and teeth loosen.

To stop the inflammation and gum separation use this natural remedy to kill some of these bacteria and strengthen your gums in your mouth.

Here are the herbs and the formula you will need to make a remedy for a mild case of gingivitis:

2 parts white oak bark herb – powder

1 part myrrh gum herb – power or granules

3/4 part Peppermint leaves converted to powder

½ part anise herb – power or seeds

1/8 part clove - powder

If herbs and leaves are not in powder form, grind them in a coffee grinder. Use this formula to make as much powder as you want.

Place the mixture into a small container. I usually use a small-unused vitamin bottle.

I usually mix a small amount and use a tablespoon as my measuring tool. For example, 2 tablespoons of white oak, 1 tablespoon of myrrh gum, ¾ tablespoon of peppermint leaves, and so on. The measurements do not have to be so precise.

How to use it:

To control bacteria in your mouth, use this power once a week. If you have gingivitis, you can use this 3 times a day. Place some powder on your toothbrush and brush your teeth and gums. After brushing spit out, a few time, the saliva and residue powder. Don't rinse out your mouth since you want to keep the active herb powders in your month. You can swallow any that remains in your mouth with no problem.

This powder combination is bitter, but quite powerful and will get the job done. You can add more peppermint powder to make it less bitter, if you like.

For severe cases of gingivitis and toothaches, you can also moist some powder with distilled water and then place the paste all along the your teeth and gums – front and back. Leave the paste in your mouth as long as you can. Don't worry about the herbs getting in between your teeth. This remedy works.

My wife was schedule for a root canal last year and a few weeks before her tooth started paining and couldn't sleep. So I made this remedy. She just placed the powers around the painful area. It wasn't long before the pain stopped and she was able to go to sleep.

There have been other clients that have used this remedy for a month and successfully avoided having the dentist apply gingivitis treatment. In cases of severe gingivitis, go see your dentist and at the same time use this remedy.

Is Affiliate Article Marketing Working For You?

Determining whether or not your Affiliated Article marketing campaign is working for you is a very important part of the advertising process. This is so important because while there is a great deal of Article marketing which can be done without a great deal of expense, other types of Article marketing do have financial costs associated with them. Also, in both cases there is a time and energy burden to orchestrating the Article marketing. For all of these reasons it is important for business owners to continuously evaluate their marketing techniques and strategies to determine what is working and what is not. This will help the business owner to focus his efforts on marketing strategies which are providing positive results as opposed to those which are either not providing results or are only providing lackluster results. This article will examine a few different marketing strategies as well as how business owners can evaluate the effectiveness of these strategies.

Article Affiliate marketing is certainly one of the most cost effective online marketing strategies available. This marketing strategy involves having other website owners known as affiliates post an advertisement on their websites to direct Article traffic to your website. This marketing strategy is cost effective because in most cases the affiliate is only paid when he produces a desired result such as enticing an Article user to click through the advertisement or to purchase a product or service once they click through the ad. While the business owner is only paying for the advertisement when it produces a desired effect, it is still worthwhile to evaluate the effectiveness of these ads to determine whether or not they are working well.

Fortunately affiliate marketing ads have a natural feedback mechanism which makes it easy to evaluate how well the ad is working. This feedback is provided in the form of code imbedded in the advertisement which specifies which affiliate generated the website visitors. This information is provided for the purposes of issuing payment to the affiliate but it can also provide the business owner with useful information on which affiliate ads are the most effective. This information is especially useful when the affiliates are posting different ads. The business owner may conclude the ads posted by the more successful affiliates are more appealing to potential customers and may opt to use this style of ad for all of their affiliates.

Business owners who use Article marketing strategies such as posting on message boards to promote their business might want to consider asking customers to complete a short survey when making a purchase. This survey can include useful demographic information which is always helpful for marketing as well as information regarding where the customer learned of the products or services you offer. Including the message board web address as one of the responses will give you a good indication of whether or not the message boards are helping to drive customers to your website. You may also have some unofficial feedback in terms of the response to your postings on the message board. If the general consensus is in support of your posts, you may infer you are generating some interest in your business or website through this tactic.

Finally, an Article marketing strategy can be evaluated by studying website traffic results as well as sales receipts. Anytime you implement a new Article marketing strategy or technique it is worthwhile to study your website traffic reports and sales receipts carefully to determine whether or not there is a spike in either traffic or sales immediately after the marketing effort. For example, if you send out an e-newsletter to those who have requested additional information about your products or services, you may notice there is an increase in traffic or sales soon afterwards. This is a good indication the e-newsletter was well received and effective. However, if there is not a marked increase in traffic or sales subsequent to the e-newsletter it indicates the marketing effort was not effective.

All About Beer

Prohibitionists and little old ladies have long viewed beer as the devil's brew. Beer itself isn't so bad; it's people that have given it a bad rap. When used in a controlled, social setting, beer is nothing more than a cold, refreshing break time treat.

Rich History
There is evidence that beer has been around almost along as history itself. Pre-historic man is said to have created beer before learning that grains could also be used to produce another dietary staple called "bread". Noah is said to have stocked his ark with beer. Ancient Babylonian clay tables revealing recipes for beer date back to 4300 BC.

Social Acceptance
Clearly, beer has always been in important element in social gatherings. It's a staple at sport arenas, card games and dart matches. Problems can arise, however, when beer drinkers indulge privately or believe they can drink away their troubles. Of course, binge drinking or drinking in excess also brews trouble.

Worldwide Acclaim
Beer is consumed all over the world. North America, South America, Asia and Europe all have rich beer histories. Breweries can be found in Mongolia, many African countries, and Middle East countries including Iraq and Syria. Virtually anywhere a thirsty traveler stops to rest, a cold pint can easily be found. Many beers of the world are imported and readily available to North American beer drinkers looking to explore new flavours.

Rating Systems
Some avid beer drinkers actually rate the beers they consume, tally the scores and post their comments on Internet websites to determine the world's most popular brews. Beer drinkers in America can correspond online with their Russian counterparts and swap bottles of beer through the mail. Others drink a variety of beers to keep and collect the bottles and caps. Pubs sometimes host beer clubs, awarding plaques or personalized steins to those who have purchased and quaffed every brand of beer on the menu.

Glass or Cans?
Some beer drinkers prefer to quaff from a proper pint glass, and others downright refuse to drink from a bottle or can. Drinking from a glass or stein helps to release the aromas of the beer, so the drinker is able to appreciate more than just the taste of the brew. Pouring beer into a vessel also allows a head to form on the beer, an important element for many beer drinkers. Similar to wine and spirits, there are specific glasses available for different types of beer. Many brewers produce glassware intended for use with their own brand of beer.

Temperature
The ideal beer temperature varies depending on a number of factors. More experienced beer drinkers will tell you that a warmer temperature enhances the flavour, while colder temperatures inhibit the senses of the tongue and throat. Subtle nuances are weakened, and the main flavour is downright destroyed by low temperatures. On the other hand, those who work hard and play hard expect an ice-cold beer, served in a frosty mug. Irish beer drinkers insist that a pint of Irish Guinness is best served at room temperature.

Pouring
The way beer is poured has influence over the presentation of beer. The flow rate from the tap, position of the pour and the tilting of the glass all affect the outcome. How the beer is poured determines the size and longevity of the head, and the turbulence of the pour affects how the carbonization is released. More heavily carbonated beers, such as German pilsners, need time to settle before they're served. Many barkeeps will serve the beer with remaining yeast at the bottom of the glass to add extra color and flavor.

Served warm or cold, from a bottle or glass, beer is an important part of society from Montana to Mongolia. And sometimes, even those so-called little old ladies will gather to enjoy a pint with their mates.

Get Your Website to Profit With the Best Affiliate Programs Available

The Internet is one of the most frequently used tools for communication today. There are over millions of people who log on to the Internet every single day. Besides, with the benefits that the Internet gives, who would not want to be a part of this information superhighway. With the Internet, you can communicate with your family and friends through emails and instant messengers, you can purchase goods and services without leaving your own home, and the Internet is one of the most promising income generating tools that everyone can use today.
In the past, you needed products or services in order to make money through the Internet.
Today however, you can make money through the Internet by using affiliate programs. This program will allow you to make a substantial amount of money out of your website and is a very good home business that you would want to get in to.
First of all, you need to know what an affiliate program is and how it works in order to fully understand how you can make some money out of it. Affiliate programs is like a joint venture where you or your website becomes a partner with another website that have already developed a product or service that they are already selling in the Internet. As a partner, your job is to direct the visitors of your website to your partner website and hope that they will purchase the products or services being offered. Your website will be like the company's marketing arm, among several.
The company you plan on being affiliated to will be providing all the necessary tools that you need in order to start the affiliate program. They will be providing the links, and some companies will provide free e-books on how you can effectively earn from affiliate programs. The best way to profit from your website through affiliate programs is by promoting your website in the Internet. The key to success in affiliate programs is targeted traffic. This is why you should think of a product or service that you would want to promote and also a product or service that you are knowledgeable about. Think about your hobby. For example, if you like fixing cars, you want an affiliate program that promotes cars, or car parts. In your website, you will then discuss about your hobby. Make some articles and post it in article publishing websites and also in your own site. Since your affiliate program is selling cars or car parts or even car accessories, the traffic you generate in your website will have a greater chance of clicking the link or banner of your affiliate website and buy from that website. You will then earn a commission out of the sold product.
As you can see, it is very simple to earn money from affiliate programs. However, when you are just starting out in the business of affiliate programs, you have to work hard to establish your reputation as an expert in the product or service you are promoting. The best way to do this is publish your articles about a particular product frequently. This will build your reputation in the Internet and soon, you will get that targeted traffic you have been always wanting. It is also a good idea to update your website once in a while (once a week) with tips and tricks on a particular product. The best thing about affiliate programs is that you do not have to be in front of your computer 24 hours a day 7 days a week. All you need is a few minutes of checking up in your website and also check out your earnings in your affiliate programs. Always remember to update your website frequently in order to keep your readers and keep them buying from your affiliate website.

TRUST THE FEELING

Her name was Maria Garcia and I can't remember exactly when in 1969 that I first noticed her. Our Little League team was having a tremendous run of victories and Maria and a friend started attending not only our games, but our practices as well. I guess you could call her our team groupie.
At age 12 I was just beginning to notice girls and Maria was a head-turning little brunette. I desperately wanted to speak to her, yet was too shy. So my entire Maria Garcia strategy was to sneak coy looks her way and hope we made eye contact. Occasionally we did and those moments made me forget baseball - and everything else.
1969 was an enchanted season for our team and we won all 18 games, including the area championship. Our team was so good that the league asked us to play one final game against a team made up of all the best players from all other teams. As usual, Maria and her friend were in the stands.
As luck would have it, the game was close when it was my turn at bat with a runner in scoring position. As I walked to the plate from the first base dugout, I looked directly at Maria in the third base stands. She chose this moment to speak to me for the first time all summer. "Get a hit, blondie!" Without thinking, I gestured her a confident OK sign, stepped to the plate and promptly slapped the first pitch up the middle for a run scoring single.
That event remains one of the top ten experiences in my life.
We went on to win that game but I never did speak to Maria. Next season, my age pushed me to a new league and new field and I never saw her again.
To this day, I wonder whatever became of her. What would have happened had I faced my fear and spoken to her? What was she like? Were her insides as appealing as her outsides? Did I cross paths with a soulmate and miss a golden opportunity?
Evidently I was a slow learner because I can also name Jill, Tina and Gail as girls I secretly admired over the years, yet never spoke to either. I missed golden opportunities with them also. Fear had me buffaloed.
Eventually I caught on and had several great relationships before meeting the woman who became my wife. Twenty years later, she still credits my opening line of "Wow, I'm impressed," as the three little words that got our relationship started. Had I not burst through fear to speak them, life would be far different than it is today.
Why do we let fear hold us back from meeting people we feel drawn too?
I think it's because we only focus on the potential for rejection rather than the possibility of bonding. The truth is, people rarely tell you to buzz off in the first five minutes of conversation. It just doesn't happen.
Sure, a person will size you up, scan for similar values and decide if you are interesting or not. And you'll do the same to them. If there's no attraction after the ice breakers, you merely excuse yourself and visit the punchbowl. No harm done. The reward of electrical feelings caused by meeting an intriguing new friend far outweighs the risk of getting brushed off.
Whenever we feel drawn to a certain person, there is a reason. We may not know what that reason is, but rest assured, it is for our greater good. Failing to seize that opportunity leaves you wrestling with one of the worst questions imaginable.

Home Herbal Migraine Remedies

Brian B. Carter, MS, LAc

This is one of my favorite topics! Wanna know why?

Because I've suffered from migraines for 2 years, and my unique position as an herbalist and acupuncturist has allowed me to learn about and experiment with a number of home migraine remedy you may not have heard of.

Chinese herbal medicine is still new and unknown to most westerners. I've found some effective solutions from China that few people know about.

And now I get to share them with you!

On this page, I'm going to talk exclusively about home migraine remedy - if you want to read more about migraine symptoms, causes, and acupuncture, check out my previous articles:

What is a Migraine, anyway?
It's more than a headache. It's a neurological configuration - any number of symptoms can show up, and more than one thing can cause it.

It's as if you tend toward this neurological configuration, called migraine - like you're already on the edge of it, and certain things can push you over.

Or, it's like you're filling a water glass, but you can't stop pouring, and it overflows. In this analogy, the water is all the factors that cause your migraine, and the overflow is the migraine itself.

How do you stop the Migraine tendency?
The way to prevent it is to balance the imbalances that lead to migraine. Your home migraine remedy should take care of at least one of these imbalances.

I'm going to suggest our basic home migraine remedy, called "Relieve Constraint" that will help with a number of the causes of migraine.

Here are the major migraine contributors,
with at least one home migraine remedy each:

1. Stress and emotional constraint: Relieve Constraint herbal formula

2. Sinus congestion and sinus headaches: Relieve Constraint herbal formula, and possibly a sinus infection home remedy

3. Indigestion and dysbiosis: Relieve Constraint herbal formula, get any complicated or chronic digestive problems diagnosed and treatment by a natural medicine specialist

4. Inflammation: Relieve Constraint herbal formula

5. Neck misalignment and tension headaches (this is your author right here, sitting at a computer): Chiropractic and acupuncture, stress reduction, and Relieve Constraint herbal formula

6. Food allergies: Get good IgG and IgE food allergy tests, make sure you don't also have systemic candida, and avoid/rotate the foods you are allergic to.

If you can't afford the $100 food allergy test from your alternative medicine provider, you can instead try going 1 month each without wheat, dairy, and yeast. Those are the most common offenders. If any of them is involved, you should notice a difference!

7. Irregular eating: Eat more regularly. Identify and deal with hypoglycemia - research shows, and specialists know that hypoglycemia can cause rebound migraines. See below for eating tips.

If you don't have a regular appetite, Relieve Constraint will help somewhat, but you may want to consider medical-quality enzyme supplements.

8. Fatigue or lack of exercise: If exercise makes you worse, then you need strengthening herbs. However, you may have to wait til #1-6 above are better before you can tonify yourself.
If exercise makes you better, then you're stagnant. Keep exercising, especially aerobic like basketball, running, or swimming, and take Relieve Constraint.

Dietary Home Migraine Remedy Options:
As mentioned in the chart, hypoglycemia can lead to rebound migraines. There's some research to back that up - see the references at the bottom of the page.

How to control your hypoglycemia:

* Increase the amount of protein in your diet (meat, poultry, fish, nuts, beans) and eat smaller meals more frequently during the day to sustain energy.
* Never go for more than four or five hours without eating — preferably no more than three hours.
* If you sleep in on weekends, but find you wake with the beginnings of a migraine, keep a starchy snack by the bed.
* Eat small, starchy snacks, but not sugary or processed foods, on a regular basis. Crackers, rice, bread, and pasta are all good, as are fruits and nuts.
* Many migraine sufferers find that strenuous or prolonged exercise lowers their blood sugar levels and makes them more prone to attacks. Try taking a glucose tablet (or a teaspoon of glucose) before exercising, and a starchy snack within half an hour of finishing. This may help compensate for lost energy. However, once your diet has been corrected, glucose tablets shouldn't be necessary.
Not having an appetite is a problem!

Most people worry about their weight and want to get rid of their appetites. But for a migraineur, not having an appetite is a problem. Whether you are enzyme deficient, or your gastrointestinal system is all backed up, or both, you need to fix it.

If you don't have an appetite, you won't eat enough (leading to hypoglycemia), and even if you do eat enough, you won't be able to digest it properly. Indigestion will create more problems, like acid reflux or intestinal stagnation. Since everything in your body is connected, and migraineurs are so sensitive, all of these things can contribute to a migraine.

Herbal Home Migraine Remedy Options:
Let me tell you about a modern migraine formula, called
Relieve Constraint.

This is a modern Chinese herbal formula, a home migraine remedy. It comes from a book by Philippe Sionneau, a famous European Chinese medicine translator and author. Philippe translated it from the Chinese article written by Dr Cao De Ting in the Shan Dong Chinese Medicine Journal (1988, #1).

The full name of this home migraine remedy is the "Order the Qi and Resolve the Depression Decoction." It's based on what has become one of my favorite Chinese herbal formulas, "Yue ju wan," also known as the "Escape Restraint Pill." This formula was written by herbal master Zhu Dan Xi in the 14th century A.D.

The Relieve Constraint home migraine remedy relieves all 6 types of constraint (with the herb for each):

qi (cyperus)
blood (ligustici)
dampness (atractylodes)
food (shenqu)
phlegm (atractylodes)
heat (gardenia)

Added to the basic Escape Restraint Pill (to make the Relieve Constraint home migraine remedy) are several other herbs for emotional constraint, nourishing, moving the excess qi and blood down out of the head, relieving tension, and stopping pain. These herbs are chrysanthemum, cassia, tribulus, uncaria, peony, and licorice.

How do you use it?
Take it when you know a migraine is coming, or even before that after one of the migraine contributors has occurred in your daily life. It can help once the migraine is already there, but as with other home migraine remedy, it's much more effective the sooner you take it.

Depending on how bad and how frequent your migraines are, you might use this home migraine remedy every day, or every few days. If they're really bad, I'd take it every day for a while (2-4 weeks) until it's much better. Then, you still may need it occasionally unless you eliminate all migraine triggers, move to the countryside, and live a perfectly relaxed life ;-)

Nutritional Supplement Home Migraine Remedy Options:
Here are some nutrients suggested to be very important in the Balch's Prescriptions for Nutritional Healing:

Calcium and Magnesium: 2000 mg daily Ca, 1000 mg daily Mg
CoQ10: 60 mg daily
Essential Fatty Acids
Multivitamin and mineral formula
Vitamin B3 (niacin) plus niacinamide: 200mg 3x daily of niacin, 800mg daily of niacinamide - but do not take if you have a liver disorder, gout, or high blood pressure
Rutin: 200mg daily

Herbal Menopause Treatments

Ratliff J

Herbal Menopause Remedy
Menopause is a transition that marks the stop of menstruation. Although this is a life change which should be embraced as another stop in life's natural stages, some women's experience with menopause has more to do with pain and discomfort. Since the 1960's physicians have prescribed estrogen supplements to reduce hot flashes and other menopausal problems. However, as with most drugs, hormonal therapy is not without risk. There is, in fact, an increased incidence of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, stroke, heart attack, and uterine fibroids. According to scientific research and observation, many women get as much relief from vitamins and herbal remedy as they do from hormonal drugs.

Herbal Menopause Remedy Products we recommend include:

Menocore - Menocore is a botanical alternative medicine formulation which contains a blend of all natural herbal extracts developed to ease the transition and provide effective Menopause Symptoms Relief from the onset and duration of typical menopausal symptoms. Menocore has been developed as a natural alternative support product, formulated with the best-known combination of high-potency phytoestrogen botanicals which have a long empirical history of relieving menopausal symptoms, and supporting the body's hormonal balance.

Triatone - The ingredients of Triatone: Black Cohosh, Dong Quai, Licorice Root, Chasleberry, and Isoflavones - Have all been proven to help reduce hot flashes associated with menopause. Soy ingredients such as these, help produce isoflavones which have similar properties to human estrogen. Isoflavones can bind to the body's estrogen receptors and help offset the drop in estrogen that occurs during menopause.

MellowPause - While soy has been shown to have positive effect on hormone balancing, MellowPause's combination of ingredients make it effective for not only hormone balancing, but helps with other menopausal symptoms such as irritability, mood swings and insomnia.

Menopause is the point at which a woman stops ovulating and menstruation ceases, indicating the end of fertility. Menopause is as natural a progression in life as puberty. For most women, natural hormone production begins to slow down when they reach their thirties, and continues to diminish as they age. Many women experience few if any symptoms during this time but others may suffer from some or all of the following; anxiety, dry skin, fatigue, feelings of bloating, headaches, heart palpitations, hot flashes, insomnia, irritability decreases interest in sex, loss of concentration, mood swings, night sweats, reduces stamina, urinary incontinence, vaginal dryness and itching and weight gain.

Herbal medicine for cold

John Gibb

Many people on the hunt for nutritional supplements are concerned about what kind of herbal medicine for cold sicknesses are offered. From the period of November until March, cold season sets in and it can really ruin your day. While there isn't too much of a clear determinant about how to cure a cold, your best bet is to try to ward it off before it even strikes you.

Once you already have the flu, there are herbal remedies, supplements, and vitamins that can help to curb the effects of the bug or hasten its departure, but there's no surefire cure for the common cold. One of the best ways to avoid getting the flu would be to keep the healthiest immune system you possibly can. The stronger your immune system is, the better chance your body will merely brush off pesky bugs. This can be accomplished through the use of many different substances.

Vitamin C is one solution commonly referred to when colds abound. Also, Echinacea has seen much popularity as a cold aid. Beta Glucan is one herbal remedy that helps to boost your immune system to superhuman levels. Beta Glucan stimulates macrophages, which your body uses as a 'first line of defense' against bodily invaders. Beta Glucan is naturally found in grains and oats. Maitaki mushroom extract is another substance that has seen some popularity. It is rumored to raise your white blood cell count, which can be enormously helpful in fighting off foreign bodies. Black Cumin extract is yet another solution, which has many healing and anti-viral properties. It helps to protect healthy cells and produces an enzyme called interferon which fights infections.

Last, but not least, is Aloe Vera. Certain sources of it can be powerful in boosting immune function. Liquid Aloe Vera doesn't offer anywhere near the effects of the concentrated, solid form. Of all of these natural remedies, all are classified as herbs with the exception of Beta Glucan.

Take your choice of these (although a combination has been proven more effective) to help ward off the next flu that comes your way.

Hemorrhoids Treatment

John Lim

Introduction to hemorrhoids:

Hemorrhoids are swollen veins that are found in the rectum or anus. The swelling is a result of strain during bowel movement. Pregnancy, chronic constipation and diarrhea also cause an increased pressure in the rectum resulting in hemorrhoids. There are two types of hemorrhoids, external and internal.

External Hemorrhoids:

External hemorrhoids like its name sake means that the hemorrhoid is located outside the anus. It feels like a small lump that is sensitive to the touch. An external hemorrhoid is usually itchy and irritating. It is also a lot more painful than internal hemorrhoids.

Internal Hemorrhoids:

Internal hemorrhoids usually do not hurt and they definitely do not hurt as much as an external hemorrhoid even when it does. They are found inside your rectum itself and may occasionally bleed. Because of this you may sometimes see blood on your toilet paper or in your toilet bowl after bowel movement.

Symptoms of Hemorrhoids:

The most common symptom of hemorrhoids is blood on toilet paper or in the toilet bowl after bowel movement. External hemorrhoids are also detected easily because the main symptoms are irritation around the anus as well as painful swelling. There may also be sensitive lumps around the anus area. An odd itch inside your rectum is also a symptom of internal hemorrhoids.

Hemorrhoid Prevention:

Having the right diet is the best prevention method for hemorrhoids. Drinking a lot of water helps soften the stool thus easing strain during bowel movement. Eating a lot of processed food is also unhealthy. Instead, in order to prevent hemorrhoids, add some fiber to your diet. Foods such as bran, fruits and vegetables (just to name a few) will help your chances to avoid hemorrhoids.

Certain toilet habits can also help hemorrhoid prevention. Reading in the toilet is an unhealthy habit because sitting on your toilet for a long time could cause straining. Because of this, try to get the ‘job' done within 5 minutes without reading.

Moving around and exercising can also help prevent hemorrhoids. If you have a job that requires you to sit for long periods of time, make an effort to get up and walk around for 5 minutes every hour. This will help greatly.

Hemorrhoid Treatment:

Hemorrhoid treatments are divided into natural home treatments, and surgery. Both are effective and the best treatment for you depends on the nature of your hemorrhoid.

Natural home hemorrhoid treatments are used to reduce the swelling of the hemorrhoid but more importantly to ease some of the pain caused by the hemorrhoid. Natural hemorrhoid treatments are as follows:

Sitz bathes involve sitting in a tub of warm water for 10 minutes a few times a day is a great hemorrhoid treatment to treat both the swelling and the pain.

Ice packs can also be used to numb the area as well as reduce hemorrhoid swelling.

Applying a cream that contains witch hazel (a natural astringent) can help ease the irritation around the area.

Hemorrhoid surgery are only used for extreme cases where with the hemorrhoid persists, it is too painful or when there are multiple hemorrhoids.

Rubber band ligation is a common form of hemorrhoid treatment because it is relatively uncomplicated. Basically a rubber band is placed around the base of the hemorrhoid inside the rectum. This will cut off the flow of blood to the hemorrhoid causing it to wither away in a few days.

Infrared Coagulations is a form of hemorrhoids surgery that is used on smaller hemorrhoids. This type of hemorrhoid treatment can be used on external or internal hemorrhoids. This procedure involves using infrared light to burn off the hemorrhoids.

Sclerotheray, also known as injection therapy is another type of surgery used on hemorrhoids. In this form of treatment is used for curing small internal hemorrhoids. A hardening agent is injected into the hemorrhoids causing a loss of circulation which will then result in the hemorrhoid shriveling.

Health Benefits Of Fennel Plant

Kevin Pederson

The fennel herb is a versatile vegetable which can not only be
eaten cooked or raw but is also a basis for anise, and is one of
the ingredients of licorice. The fennel plant also flavors some
brandy-based drinks, whilst the fennel leaves are an important
culinary herb.

It is not surprising then that fennel and its juice contain some
valuable constituents. The nutrients are similar to those in
celery, which belongs to the same family, but it is the
essential oil that is the basis for its good action on an upset
stomach and its stimulating properties. The oil is present in
relatively large amounts, from 3-6% of the total weight.

The Greeks called fennel marathon which derived from their word
meaning to become slim; later the Emperor Charlemagne ensured
that it was grown on all his farms. He and other people in early
times, thought fennel gave courage and were good for the eyes.
Bedrooms were protected from the evil spirits of the night with
fennel in the keyholes. The plant was an essential component of
the wreath used above the door on Midsummer Day to keep the
witches quiet.

Insects keep away from fennel so the floors were spread with
stalks so that the fleas kept their distance. The stalks were
cooked as an alternative to asparagus, or put under bread while
it was baking to give it an aromatic flavor. With carrot juice,
fennel is very good for night blindness or optic weakness. These
two plus beet juice make a good remedy for anemia especially the
son resulting from excessive menstruation.

Fennel juice forms part of formulae for convalescence and for
indigestion. The French use it for migraine and dizziness where
good results have been noted. The nutritional analysis of fennel
leaves reveals an excellent quantity of iron (2.7mg per 100g),
high calcium (109mg per 100g) and a very impressive supply of
the following vitamins: carotene (4. 7mg per 100g), folic acid
(100 micrograms per 100g) and vitamin C (93.0mg per 100g).

Hair transplants, there aren't what they used to be!

Amy-Jo Strutt

There is nothing more heartbreaking than looking in the mirror
and discovering that your hair is thinning, even worse, you are
going bald. This just doesn't happen to men either. There are a
larger percentage of women that experience thinning of the hair,
and on the odd occasion, baldness. If going bald really bothers
you, you do have some options you can consider. One option is
hair transplant surgery. No, we don't mean those awful hair
plugs used 15 year ago. Hair transplant procedures have gotten
much better and today, surgeons can create a full, natural
looking head of hair.

For most men, baldness starts with a receding hairline. This
most often leads to what is referred to male pattern baldness.
Hair is lost at the front and on the top of the head, leaving a
fringe of hair around the sides. Hair transplant surgery is
often performed to restore hair that is thinning at the crown
and temples. The procedure works like this. Good, quality hair
follicles are taken from the donor site which is most often
located at the back of the head where hair tends to stay thick
and healthy. The surgeon harvests one hair at a time and
surgically implants it in the area of thinning or baldness. The
process is slow, but the results are truly amazing. Surgeons are
getting extremely good at creating natural looking hairlines.

Hair transplant surgery continues to evolve and get more
sophisticated. Because this is a challenging process, it is not
cheap. Most surgeons will hold a consultation with you so that
they understand your expectations and you understand what they
can achieve. Their goal is always to create a natural looking,
full head of hair. Hair transplant procedures are not extremely
painful, but expect some mild pain and swelling. The first
several weeks after you have hair transplants you must treat you
hair very well to ensure you don't damage any of the transplants
before they take hold and start to grow again. If this is
something you are considering, speak to your doctor to get more
information.

Hair Loss Solutions from a Pill

Sandra Wellman

Most people believe the only way to cure their hair loss problem
is from the outside, by using a chemical treatment, shampoo or
other topical treatment. These ways can work for you, but in
recent medical studies the main cause of hair loss, at least 95%
of the time, is either genetic and or hormonal. A hormonal by
product, DHT, affects the hair follicles, making them thinner
and shrink until nothing is left. Research found that balding
men had increased levels of DHT in these areas.

How to solve the problem of increased DHT

Simply, block it. Specific vitamins, minerals and herbs can
block the DHT in your body. By taking these supplements orally,
they block the DHT through the blood stream. The hair follicles
beneath your scalp get all the nutrients they need to promote
new healthy hair growth.

*Supplements:* Biotin, part of the Vit B complex, helps with
the skin condition of your scalp. Other B vitamins, like B6, are
essential for good health and hair growth. Everyone knows Zinc
helps your immume system, but it also is needed for cell
division for the tissue of the hair, nails and skin. Nettle Root
blocks the 2 enzymes that produce DHT, now known to be the
leading cause of hair loss. Saw Palmetto also blocks one of the
enzymes, 5 alpha-reductase, that produces DHT. Gota Kola
supports the integrity of hair growth, collagen and skin. The
oil extracted from pumpkin skins is also a natural hair loss
remedy.

You can get all of the above and more in a caplet you only have
to take twice per day? Yes, there is a hair loss solution from a
pill and it's not a prescription. You can cure your hair loss
problem from the inside out naturally.

Hair Loss Solution: Try Aromatherapy

Kathlene Capelle

Our ancestors did not have the benefit of today's scientifically researched drugs, but they often found natural remedies that worked just as well. Herbal remedies have been used for centuries to treat everything from premenstrual syndrome to high blood pressure. Men experiencing the first signs of baldness often looked to natural cures as well, and some of the herbal remedies have surprising results.

A group of dermatologists in Scotland tested an herbal remedy with great success, helping over 40% of their patients with a mixture of essential oils containing cedarwood, lavender, rosemary and thyme. In this double blind study, the group using the essential oils showed improvement in 40 percent of the subjects, while only 15% of the control group noted an improvement.

So, would you be interested in trying out aromatherapy as a hair loss solution? If you'd like to experiment with this, mix three drops each of lavender and rosemary oil with two drops each of cedarwood and thyme oils. Add this mixture to 4 teaspoons of grapeseed oil and one-quarter teaspoon of jojoba oil. Rub the mixture into your scalp for two minutes nightly, then use a warm towel to wrap your head.

If you're not experiencing baldness yet, but your hair doesn't look healthy, you may want to try a mixture of lavender and bay essential oils to stimulate blood flow to the scalp and help circulation to the area. About six drops of each oil should be added to ½ cup of a good carrier oil, like almond or sesame oil. Warm the mixture slightly and rub into the scalp. After letting the mixture penetrate the scalp for 20 minutes, shampoo with your normal shampoo. For additional benefit, you may want to add up to 4 drops of bay oil to your normal shampoo.

Of course, you won't see a whole new head of hair after just one or two treatments. However, repeated use will most likely provide you with better looking, fuller hair. You'll also experience the positive benefits of aromatherapy and scalp massage as well, feeling more relaxed and ready to face the day. Aromatherapy may just be the hair loss solution that you are looking for!

Specific vitamins, minerals and herbs can block the DHT in your
body. By taking these supplements orally, they block the DHT
through the blood stream. The hair follicles beneath your scalp
get all the nutrients they need to promote new healthy hair
growth.

Supplements: Biotin, part of the Vit B complex, helps with the
skin condition of your scalp.

Yes, there is a hair loss solution
from a pill! You can cure your hair loss problem from the inside
out. Go to my web site to find out how: href="http://www.acne-and-hair-loss-solutions.com/">http://www.ac

Organic Body Products – Even Cleopatra Used One

Polly Priester

Hello all you wonderful people out there. Do any of you know anything about organic body care? Do any of you use organic body products?

I happen to know of some very famous people who did. Even the beautiful Cleopatra used organic products. She would take her bath in a tub of milk in order to relax and keep her skin soft. In the 1800's Miss Josephine, Emperor Napoleon's ex-wife, busied herself with organic gardening. Every variety of roses known at the time could be found in her exquisite garden.

Between then and now a lot of chemicals have been developed that are used in foodstuffs and cosmetics. However, for me, personally, nothing can take away from the thrill of discovering natural uses for herbs and flowers and learning about natural cures.

Take roses. Rose petals can be used for their scent in perfume, deodorant, air freshener, soaps, potpourri mixes, and even for eating. Do you remember mom's remedy for a cold – leaning over a bowl of boiling water with your head covered in a towel and inhaling? Just add some organic rose petals to the boiling water and inhale that fragrance. The same water can then be poured into spray bottles and voilà, you have a natural air freshener.

Still we have come a long way since the time of Cleopatra and Josephine. As you probably know, there is always more than one way of doing things. You and I each have our own preference. What's good for one person is not necessarily good for another. Let's face it, not everyone is going to take a milk bath. Today you can go out and buy all kinds of organic body products including organic body lotion. You choose. You decide, You have fun.

Gray Hair Remedy: Is there such a thing?

G Marwick

Many of us will experience the onset of Gray Hair as we get older. It will happen at different times and can start as early as in our 20's.

None of us want to go Gray but we have to accept some of us will at some stage be affected by it. Your hair will go Gray for several reasons:

•Heredity: If there is a history of family members going Gray then you may find you will follow and go Gray as well.
•Smoking can cause your hair to go Gray.
•Lack of B12 and Omega 3's in your diet.

So how do we go about finding a remedy to combat the onset of Gray Hair? There are a few options open to us. The first is diet. A lot of what we eat contributes to how our bodies produce healthy producing cells in our hair. As Gray Hair is usually dry and brittle it may be that you are not eating properly. As mentioned before the lack of B12 and Omega 3's are major contributors to your hair going Gray.

Even if we are on a good diet it does not necessarily mean you will be immune to Gray Hair. As mentioned if it is heredity then your best bet is to use a very good shampoo that will treat the hair and keep it in good condition. Some Shampoos are designed specifically for the treatment of Gray Hair and contain things like Omega 3's such as Emu oil. These oils actually treat the hair follicle and rejuvenate the pigment generating cells called Melanocytes. After repeated use you may find that your hair will revert back to its original color. If you are happy to stay Gray then make sure you treat your hair as no one said that Gray Hair can't look good.

You can always dye your hair. This is the most common. You can use dyes that will gradually change you hair color over time or you can go for an immediate effect. This usually works better for women. As they do look great with different hair colors.

If you do want to prevent or reverse your Gray Hair then you can take a tablet called Melancor. This is a new product on the market and works in two ways. Firstly when you get Gray Hair you have a genetically based tendency to produce less melanin as body pigments. Melancor triggers Melanocytes which helps overcome this tendency by increasing you body's ability to produce melanin pigments.

Secondly Melancor exerts a profound "Mleanocytes" action whereby it mobilizes stored melanin, moving it out of the hair cell and thereby increasing the number and size of the hair strands and pigments in your natural hair color.

Melancor also stops male pattern baldness by blocking increased levels of DHT. This is the hormone that is responsible for male development in the early stages, and is a major contributor in hair loss as men get older. DHT shrinks the hair follicle until it no longer produces visible hair.

Do your research, find out why you may have Gray Hair and find the best solution to remedy it.

an essential oil that is steam distilled from the unpeeled,
dried and ground root. Ginger oil is used in combination with
sandalwood, cedar wood and patchouli, which renders a
woody-spicy scent to the mixture.

The uses of ginger as a digestive aid can be largely attributed
to the presence of gingerols and shogaols, which help neutralise
stomach acids, enhance the secretion of digestive juices and
tone the muscles of the digestive tract.

The active ingredient in ginger is terpenes and an oleoresin,
which is called ginger oil. These active agents are responsible
for its antiseptic qualities, lymph-cleansing,
circulation-stimulating and mild constipation relief. Research
has shown that ginger lowers blood cholesterol by reducing
cholesterol absorption in the blood and liver.
