Lemon And Parsley Home Remedies

Lee Dobbins

You might think of lemon and parsley as great garnishes for your drink glass and plate, but did you know that you can use them to ease symptoms of common minor ailments?

Sure, the lemon makes a good drink and even tastes good squirted on fish, but you might want to make sure you have some on hand for more than dinner. The lemon can be your best friend when you have a common headache. Simply cut a long strip of the rind and put it on your forehead – rub in the inside white part and then fasten it to your head. Sure, you'll look a little nutty but who cares as long as it gets rid of the ache!

Lemon peel is not only good for the head, but for the feet too! One age old remedy for corns is to apply a lemon peel (white side against the corn) to the corn and affix it so that it stays on overnight. You can remove it during the day, but repeat each night for 7 days.

Parsley is another great home remedy food that is often left uneaten on the side of the plate. Besides being rich in potassium and vitamins it is also reputed to strengthen the kidneys and help with waste removal. And not only that, but it can help relive bad breath too! So next time you get some parsley on your plate, eat up!

Parsley is also good as a topical remedy for bruises. Next time you have a bruise, crush up some parsley leaves and apply straight to the affected area.

One other problem that parsley is a good remedy for is bladder infections. You've probably experienced how quickly cranberry juice can clear up one of these, but if you don't like cranberries or get sick of drinking it, try a parsley tea. Simply pour some boiled water over parsley and let steep for 5 to 10 minutes. Strain out the parsley and drink.

Why everyone talking bout home

Another summer day
Has come and gone away
In Paris and Rome
But I wanna go home
Mmmmmmmm

Maybe surrounded by
A million people I
Still feel all alone
I just wanna go home
Oh, I miss you, you know

And I’ve been keeping all the letters that I wrote to you
Each one a line or two
“I’m fine baby, how are you?”
Well I would send them but I know that it’s just not enough
My words were cold and flat
And you deserve more than that

rudy silva

Garlic is another wonder herb. It has action in all areas of your body and can help you eliminate constipation. You can find it in capsules in a brand call Kyolic.

Kyolic is a special garlic preparation, which is aged for 20 months in stainless steel tanks. With this aging, garlic odor is eliminated and certain chemicals are enhanced – S-allyl-mercaptocysteine, S-allyl-cysteine. These chemicals are powerful sources for fighting various diseases – cancer, heart and liver disease.

Kyolic cleanses, soothes, and reduces inflammation throughout your gastrointestinal tract. It is rich in potassium, which is necessary colon wall contraction.

Kyolic is also effective in killing pathogens and bad bacteria that live in your colon and elsewhere in your body. It also binds to heavy metals and other toxins that exist in the blood and colon and sweeps them out of the rectum. Aside from helping in constipation, it is helpful for reducing,

· fungus and other bacteria in your ear

· skin lesions due to bites or insects stings – use liquid form

· arthritis – requires 12 capsules a day

· diabetes – requires 12 capsules a day.

You can buy it in capsule and liquid form. Capsules are easy to take and have no side effects.

Continuous use of Kyolic is not harmful. It is the allicin in garlic that provides the stimulation to your colon to produce peristaltic movement.

Kyolic can be bought in health food stores or on the Internet. Just type in Kyolic into the google search engine.

Garlic has blood-thinning abilities. Using it with blood thinning drugs, pentoxifylline, NSAID's is potentially dangerous since excessive blood thinning can increase blood-clotting time. Do not use 3 days before any surgical procedure.

Jewelweed, Poison Ivy Treatment from Nature

Judi Singleton

Jewelweed, Poison Ivy Treatment from Nature

Impatiens capensis Other names:Pale Touch-Me-Not, Touch-Me-Not, Wild

Celandine, Spotted Touch-Me-Not, Speckled Jewels, Balsam Weed, Wild

Balsam, Balsam A'Florae, Slipperweed, Silverweed, Wild Lady's Slipper,

Quick-in-the-hand

I love these old names for plants they are so descriptive. You might

know Jewelweed by any of the above names. It is a member of the

Impatiens family and even the impatiens we plant in the yard have some

medicinal value against the below nasties of the wild.

Well, The weather is warm and it is time to get out in nature again. If

you are like me you like to hike and camp but there are some things

about nature that are not so much fun, like poison ivy and poison oak.
Jewelweed is a natural remedy and preventative for poison ivy, oak,
Jewel Weed is an effective natural herbal remedy not only for poison

ivy, but also for poison oak, okra spines, stinging nettle, and other

irritating plants; as well as bug bites and razor burn. Jewel Weed, is

also used for acne, heat rash, ringworm and many other skin disorders.
When traveling across the United States a few years ago I got bit by

chiggers and it proved effective for those rascally little buggers

which itch like crazy. Here are some of the other uses of Jewel Weed I

found in the herbal books. antiparasitic, digestive aid, diuretic,As a

diuretic, it is effective in cases of edema (dropsy).
liver stimulant, mildly laxative. In ointments, it can be used to treat

hemorrhoids and other varicose conditions.

Jewelweed is a smooth annual; 3-5 ft. Leaves oval, round- toothed;

lower ones opposite, upper ones alternate. A bit trumpet shaped, the

flowers hang from the plant much as a jewel from a necklace, Pale

Jewelweed has yellow flowers, Spotted Touch-Me-Nots have orange flowers

with dark red dots. The seeds will 'pop' when touched , that is where

the name came from. The Spotted Jewelweed variety is most commonly used

for rashes although the Pale Jewelweed may also have medicinal

properties. Jewelweed usually grows in wet spots next to creeks and

river beds. It grows in the vicintiy of poison oak, poison ivy and

stinging nettles. Yes, Mother Nature was very nice to us there. Jewel

weed's nectar attracts hummingbirds.

If you step in a patch of poison Ivy or poison oak don't rub it no

matter how much it itches as rubbing cause the oil to spread. Many

people even get the rash from their pets fur. If you can find Jewel

Weed you are in luck. Shred the leaves and put the juice on the rash

immediately. Fresh juice is best but if you can preserve it by freezing

ahead of time that works too. Freeze the leaves in ice cubes and

spread it on the rash. The tea is said to work like a preventive.

Itchy Skin Relief - Natural Remedy Worked Perfectly For My Itchy Skin !

Keiko Entwistle

Are you suffering from itchy skin ?

I know the feeling how terrible it is and makes you feel frustrated.

I had been suffering from allergies since my childhood. Asthma, sinusitis, skin problems especially for itchy skin for a long time.

I grew up in Tokyo, Japan and every winter season, I had to go to see a doctor to get some drugs and treatment cream for the itchy skin. During spring season, I was suffering from my hay fever, and during autumn season my asthma always appeared.

Going to see doctors and taking drugs were two of my life's habit.

However, all the drugs worked only in the beginning, and I needed to take them often to kill the itch and other allergies.

Especially, while I was sleeping, the itches made me crazy because the drugs and cream didn't help me.

I could not stop scratching everywhere even though I knew it would make it worse.

I had no idea that I could cure my itchy skin.

I moved to St. Louis, MO in the U.S.A. after I got married about 4 years ago and while I was there, I didn't have to take any drugs for my itchy skin. Maybe St. louis weather fit me

However, my husband had been suffering from his hay fever during autum to winter season for a long time since he moved to St, louis for his work. It seems St. louis is one of the worst places for allergy patients. So we decided to moved to Tucson,AZ a year later because we heard about Tucson is a good place for hay fever and allergies.

We took a road trip to move to Tucson and soon after we arrived at Sedona, AZ, my itchy skin reappeared because Arizona is desert place and it's very dry.

I needed to buy skin moisturizng lotion there and without that, I could'nt sleep.

Putting Moisturizing lotions was not really comfortable , It makes your skinfeel really sticky and also it didn't work enough.

But I often had to put on the moisturizing lotions. My husband also got itchy skin since our italy trip. And it got worse and worse even after we came back from our trip. We tried many kind of relief, but they all didn't work.

Aloe and also Echinacea are famous for skin problem so we tried it but it also didn't help our itchy skin.

Our skin rashes were getting worse and worse, because we could not stop scratching.

How we cured our Itchy skin ?

While we were suffering from our itchy skin problem, I got serious lung problem in June. I could'nt breathe deeply because of the pain. It was really serious. I was afraid I need to have an operation for it. And I didn't want to go to a hospital because I didn't want to take drug and wanted to fix with natural way since I read about natural remedies.

My husband rushed to a library to find out if there was any natural cure and he bought several combinations of herbs on his way home.

Then I took the herbs he recommended. and in the next day , my lung problem was gone !

We both were really shocked and since then my husband started researching more about the power of herbs, and testing many kind of herbs.

Within 2 months, he discovered an amazing herb formula. Since he tested one of the herb, his itchy skin was gone within a day !

So I also tried it.

Yes ! It worked perfectly !

How nice we can sleep without any itchy feeling !

We don't have to use skin moisturizng lotion any more.

There is no info saying that this herb works for itchy skin.

It was by accident my husband found that herb.

He continued researching more about the natural remedies because he also wanted to cure his hay fever and a year later, finally he could discover his original strong hay fever natural remedy cure.

Now we both are having a very healthy life.

I had been suffering from my health problem a long time, so I can really say without health, we can not have happy life.

Natural remedies work ! You just have to take correct ones.

Is Natural Acne Treatment Right For You?

Bjorn Gutter

Acne can happen to you. In fact it can happen to any of us. Usally acne starts up in the face and can cause embarrassment and even avoidance of going out in public.

Some people only experience light, occasional break-outs. Unfortunately for others, this problem can go on for years and requires treatment.

There are several choices when it comes to healing your acne. A dermatologist is recommended for severe or frequent blemishes. Natural acne treatment is the ideal remedy for milder cases.

Natural acne treatment is simple. Changing your diet or taking herbs and vitamins to cleanse and provide additional nutrition could be enough to clear your skin up. You should eliminate sugars, oils, and fats from your diet as much as possible. They are not part of a good balanced diet and are all unhealthy to begin with.

Start drinking water instead of sugary soda and eat a vegetable snack instead of you usual chips. You will notice that this is not a difficult change to make. Being overall healthier will reflect the health of your skin. It has been debated that diet has no effect on acne.

Diet alone is not a suitable natural acne treatment. However, modifying your diet in addition to taking certain vitamins can clear up your skin. Taking certain vitamins is a great natural acne treatment used by many people. Zinc can prevent acne from ever occurring. It also heals existing blemishes.

Vitamin A in small doses reduces the production of your skin's natural oil, called sebum. Certain herbal blends are also of help to your body and your skin. The advantages to natural acne treatment are that you avoid ever having to see a dermatologist, your body will benefit from healthier eating, and you are not exposing your skin to harsh chemicals.

Visiting a dermatologist to take care of your acne can get expensive. It usually requires many follow-up visits and paying for prescriptions. This can also be time consuming and overall just not worth it if your acne is not severe enough to actually require it.

Avoiding greasy foods will keep your system clean, which is beneficial to your general health as well as your skin. Proper acne medicines include ingredients that can cause your skin to be sensitive to sunlight or even diminish your condition. Changing your diet and taking vitamins are not the only available possibilities as natural acne treatment.

You could suffer from stress-induced acne. Alternatives to reduce stress in your life are different from person to person because everyone gets stressed out by different things. Exercising and having plenty of rest can be of help to calm the stress in your life. Maybe taking a walk or practicing yoga would help you to relax and clear your mind to be stress-free. A life without stress could be a life without suffering from acne.

Perhaps natural treatment may not be the right answer to your acne, depending on the origin of it. Experimenting is an easy and painless method to try, and it could save you a lot of money if it is right for you.
